The web browser could be showing a cached copy of the book. Try right clicking on the book then select reload. Or clear your Internet Explorer cache (temporary internet files inside Internet Options).
Changing the name of DNL file, e.g. book1.dnl, book2.dnl will also cause it to load it as a new file. Goto the program files/desktopauthor/upload folder and rename the DNL file e.g. book1.dnl and edit the HTML using notepad with the new name of the book before you upload again. Remember to upload manually.
