  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
I am unable to link the text in the textbox properly. When I change one link, sometimes other links change as well.

There could a hidden character in your links that could be causing the links
to not work properly. First remove all the links by selecting everything in
the text box (CTRL+A) then click the link button then select no link then OK.

Also check when you link that you are not linking an extra space after the
last word in a line.

We have also found that if you copy and paste from some programs like Powerpoint, it will copy invisible control characters which cannot be removed easily. You will need to copy the text to Windows Notepad then save it as a text file then copy it back to the book editor.

Now you can try and link each line of text again.

Some things to note:

1. keep all the text aligned left until you have linked everthing. Then center align if you need to.

2. check that when you link some text, you have not accidently linked a space after the text as well, i.e. only link the neccessary text. Sometimes is also possible that you have linked an invisible control character. This is likely if you have copied directly from MSWord or another program. Our text editor does not support all the propietary formating from Word.

3. Do not link across differently formatted text, i.e. when changing from normal to bold or changing fonts. Only link same type of text in a single block selection.

There is also another way to link.

1. Create a block of text you want to link.

2. Create a box, any color, e.g. light grey or even the background color.

3. right click this box and create a link on it. Then move this box over the
text you want to link.

4. After you are happy with the links, right click the text block and send
to top over the boxes.

You can use this method for a lot of things including images, e.g. you can
use it make hotspots for images.
